Membership
Early membership is by invitation.
A member writes your name into her Record and sends you a link, in her own words. The link is the whole proof: open it, choose your address, and you are in. For now LITfest does not write to strangers, and there is no sign-up form. That is on purpose.
- What you get
- A site built for you, by a person, in one of six editions, on your own domain (ivypochoda.com is a member’s). Book pages with the jacket, the praise, the coverage, and where to get it in your order. An events page that keeps itself from your calendar, with directions, sharing, and “I’ll be there” so you know who is coming. A press kit any journalist can use without emailing you. A card for your table that a stranger scans to start reading you, and the numbers on which rooms read past page two. A list of readers that is yours, and letters to them from your name with replies to your own inbox. Everything changes from one place, every publish is kept, and hosting is included.
- What it costs
- $49 a month. No commission on a book, ever. Leave when you like; your record is yours.
- Who it is for
- Working authors with a book out or coming. Not a platform for aspiring writers, and not an agency.
No introduction?
Write to us. Say who you are, what you have written, and, if a writer sent you here, use their name. A person reads every one of these.
